But now that I’ve driven one, I’m not so sure I can live without one. 254k miles on the original KA24DE, still runs like a top. The interior looks brand new, save for the fixed racing seat and aftermarket steering wheel(both Sparco). The chassis and brakes are beefed up and ready for more power, but the owner understandably doesn’t want to rip out the engine now that it’s lasted this long. It was EXCELLENT.

Kinja'd!!!

Now I need to start saving for one.

I recognize that 240, he’s come a long way with it! You need to come to the autocross on Aug. 6th (Sunday, bleh) at Myrtle Beach!

Eyyyyy, I spot a familiar two-tone Miata!

I’m not autocrossing on all seasons lol. I’m also not going to Myrtle Beach unless I’m being paid to do so. It’s a terrible place.

I’m not impressed with Nissan anymore. The A32 has some very stupid common problems, many of which are the engine’s electronic sensors, like the MAF, TPS, knock sensor, etc., not to mention soft screws that strip too easily (maybe they were made with Chinese lead?)

The most impressive part was that I actually fit in the fixed Sparco. The owner is taller than me, but less horizontally challenged.

That is impressive! So you drove it around with the huge front splitter attached?

Yeah, lol. It didn’t rub on anything I drove over, but it was great. The KA is a much better engine than I expected.

Eh, everyone has issues like that. There are very few cars that will go 20 years without sensors failing.

I was really thinking about this a couple of weeks ago. I have a 6L LS looking for a home at the moment, so I’ve been trying to figure out what to with the engine. The clean title intrigued me, but I think it is just too far gone even to build to a bare bones car. It is a 97 though......

Nope, that’s perfect for an LS swap. Everything will need to be beefed up chassis wise, and you won’t be ruining a clean car.
